Spring 16 feature - Update Converted Leads

As a salesforce developer, many of them might come across this requirement to edit the converted leads. Yes, with Spring 16 release, now you can update the converted leads. 

 

We have to setup few permissions to do think so.

1) From Setup, enter User Interface in the Quick Find box, then select User Interface.

2) Select Enable "Set Audit Fields upon Record Creation" and "Update Records with Inactive Owners" User Permissions and Save your changes.

Rollup summary using Process builder and Flow

Rollup summary field is an interesting custom field data type in salesforce. This will work when two objects have Master-Detail relationship but not for lookup relationship. Here I am going to explain a way to have rollup for lookup relationship.

Use case:

Rollup summary fields for lookup relationship.

Solution:

Using Flow and Process Builder we can do Rollup summary fields (Sum,Count,Max,Min) on object which is parent of lookup relationship.

View/Open a file in Document Object

Hi Folks

This post will help you to view or download (if its a word doc) a file in Visualforce page from the Document objects.

I had a requirement that when i click on a link in Visualforce page, it should open a file from Document Object in new tab. For example - Click on Terms&Conditions link. 

Follow the steps to do this:

Step 1: Add a pdf file in Document Object in Salesforce Org. For Eg: Add a pdf file in Document Object in the name of Terms And Conditions.

Adding image button in Lightning

Recently, some one asked a way to add image for a Button in Lightning Component. I have been working on Lightning Components for past two months. So I thought of writing this post.
