Email Templates

Salesforce has some number of predefined email templates so user can use that email template as it is or else can customize templates.

Administrator can able to create and maintain new  templates for defining letterheads, sending outbound email, and generating mail merge documents.

  • Letterheads define the look and feel of your HTML email templates. Your HTML email templates can inherit the logo, color, and text settings from a letterhead.
  • Email templates allow you to send email to contacts, leads, and others using predefined templates.
  • Mail merge templates allow you to create custom documents using the information from your records. For example, you can create a customized thank you letter to a specific lead.

Salesforce for Outlook / Connect for Microsoft Outlook :

Salesforce for Outlook, a Microsoft® Outlook® integration application that you install, syncs contacts, events, and tasks between Outlook and Salesforce. In addition to syncing these items, you can add Outlook emails, attachments, events, and tasks to multiple Salesforce contacts, and view Salesforce records related to the contacts and leads in your emails and events—all directly in Outlook.

Depending on your organization, you may be able to customize what you sync and the sync directions between Outlook and Salesforce. Your administrator determines the level at which you can customize these settings in Salesforce.

Chatter:

Chatter provides collaboration features and capabilities to applications built on the Force.com platform.Users can have  Private and real time chatting experience.

Not only chatting it provide way to share post, link, file, poll, comment/like the post, even you can follow user/object records in your org, so you can easily get update of the record which you followed in your chatter itself , no need to open and view the record.

Salesfroce.com offers separate user licenses those who interest to use chatter alone :P

A chatter user license determines the baseline of features that the user can access. Every user must have exactly one user license. You assign user permissions for data access through a profile and optionally one or more permission sets.
 

Dashboards:

Dashboards help you make decisions based on real-time data you’ve gathered with reports and helps you to Visualize Complex Information using filters on  in pie chart manner.Use dashboards to help users identify trends, sort out quantities, and measure the impact of their activities.

By using dashboards you can easily knowing where you stand, you can spot trends early and make the best decisions for your business.

Activity Management:

Events and tasks are the engine of sales productivity.

With Salesforce events and task  you can track your meeting schedule and task which is assigned to you and also used in support process.

Task you can assigned to user who are already registered in your org.Task and event can be allocated using salesforce records which objects  allow activities.

Create using new task / event using activity history in your record related list.

Activity history is to manage history about events and task.you can be prepared for any meeting and know which task is your highest priority right now.
